This is the write-up for the H1 results that were reported this morning by one of our positions.
Well, it appears yesterday worked out rather profitably. Yesterday, as I mentioned, I was away from my desk. But as I have made a practice throughout the history of this newsletter of not counting profitable trade parameters towards the success of this newsletters “Model Portfolio” unless I was actually sitting here managing the trade? Then I will not count yesterday's incredible market movements towards the profit of the Model Portfolio. But hopefully subscribers found something useful in my own personal thought processes.
What are my thoughts this morning?
Here's a working model of AAPL for all you spreadsheet fans. I had to adjust some of my assumptions after the clean quarter they delivered, full of pleasant surprises. CQ210 earnings impacts to model: raised iPad units, raised iPad ASPs, and lowered iPhone units slightly, cut GM, left Mac units which maybe way too conservative
A few thoughts this morning regarding the overnight action, and how it relates to the equities markets. As well as my personal thoughts regarding the three 'tradeable' (is that a term?) markets that I had outlined from yesterday ...
This evening we'll review my thoughts regarding the state of the equities markets, with a definite set of 'decision parameters' moving forward. We'll then discuss three markets that have gained my attention, as well as the trading parameters that I have set up for myself in regards these markets. We will conclude with an expansion of my usual comments, when it comes down to portfolio management; specifically reviewing my money management performance statistics.
Wonderful week for us- lot of luck. The last lucky streak I had like this was back when I got LVS in the single digits. Don't expect it to last, but we'll take it.
DSD is up 26.7% vs SPX -1.12%.
The SPX is in a bottoming pattern, looks like it has broken it's downtrend.
I've attached the latest sheet so you can confirm what we are holding today.
