I've collected a few random thoughts on some of the characteristics of "fad" stocks in my view. Of course, most thoughtful investors know one when they see one, but I have not seen a thorough write-up on the topic. Let's take a look at some common threads that I have seen over the last few years.
All people live differently and have different feelings and emotions towards money. Since we were little, we started creating different habits, based on what we saw and what we felt. These habits shape our characters as persons, and therefore have an effect in the way we make our investment decisions. Therefore, investment decisions are very personal and unique to each person.
